What To Look For When Purchasing A Stroller?

WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN PURCHASING A BABY STROLLER

Buying a baby stroller should be one of the most important things you look at when you buy for your little one. In fact, it should be one of the first items that you purchase. A stroller will make life so much easier for you, especially if you are going to have to travel with the baby on a continuous basis. There are a few aspects you need to look at when you buy a stroller to ensure that you and your tiny tot are comfortable at all times. Let’s look at a few.

Check the tyres

Just like buying a car you need to make sure that it can travel a good few miles before packing up. Check the tyres to ensure that they are able to carry the weight of your baby as well as a few extra pounds that might be added onto the stroller (things like the baby bag, toys, etc.). Good quality tyres will keep the stroller sturdy and you will not have to worry about it being to flimsy when you are out with your baby.

Be fussy about details

Baby strollers can become quite expensive so you should be fussy about what you want. A good stroller will be able to last you a good couple of years which means that you can look for something that has more than one function and that can be used when the child is a bit older as well. Features that might not seem important to you will quickly become indispensable like a cup holder, a canopy, adjustable seating functions, and a basket that will fit all your stuff, too! Try to look for something that can easily fit into the back of the car without too much hassle.

Consider the car seat

Many baby strollers come with a big enough frames that you can pop the car seat in and this has become extremely handy. Babies tend to fall asleep in a moving car and the last thing that you want to do is wake up your sleeping angel. Try to look for a stroller that allows you to attach the car seat into the frame without disturbing your baby’s sleep. This way you will not have to struggle with a niggly baby and you can simply detach the seat again if you are ready to leave.

Off road

If you are an outdoorsy type of person you would probably want to take your baby somewhere where tarred roads are non-existent. There are strollers that are able to go off road and they often have 3 wheels. Note that this is not always recommended for babies younger than 6 months.

Remember the warranty

If strollers do break you need to have a safety net that allows you to take it back to the manufacturer. When you do buy a stroller, find one that has a very solid warranty in order to return it if the need arises.
