The French brand Babyzen is well-known for their innovative, lightweight strollers that fold and carry easily. Their YOYO and ZEN types are easy to maneuver and extremely compact, earning them the top score for travel strollers in our reviews. They’re also easy to put in and out of the trunk of a car, fit into a taxi, and carry over your shoulder for walking around town or catching a train or flight.
This stroller has soft fabric, a smooth ride, and a unique frame design that creates a very compact fold. The Yoyo2 performs well on smooth surfaces but struggles to navigate dirt or gravel. It’s easy to push and turn, even though it has some of the smallest wheels of all the models we tested. It’s also one of the lightest travel strollers and fits in the smallest trunk spaces at home, or in the overhead bin on a plane*.
The fold on the Yoyo2 is easy but requires two hands to complete because it does not self-stand. It has a three-step process to unfold, and the instructions are more convoluted and lack pictures, so it took longer than competitors to set up. Its storage is minimal, but it has a small zippered pocket in the seat back that can be used for snacks or a smartphone. The canopy is smaller than most competitors, and the peek-a-boo window has a vinyl covering that doesn’t open as wide as we would like. It’s available in a variety of fabrics and offers newborn packs, bassinets, and car seat adapters for use from birth to toddler.
